BAM’s DE contribution is growing 15-20%, affiliate dividend sustainability is improving, and potential carry could improve the mix; after-tax target carry would lift hypothetical DE to $3.13 per share, or 11.8x. The main unresolved issue is BWS: capital shifts could improve efficiency, but its underwriting, rate, acquisition and valuation risks remain poorly understood.
